What the heck?

So! Wooooooooo boy. I don't have ANY idea how this one started off. Nada. I think I can kind of piece some things together from later events, but these are only guesses.

I actually have no idea where to begin so I'll go from the first thing I remember. I was sight-seeing... some place... with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time (in the dream). I remember bits being awkward since we were going places along with her boyfriend but for all purposes it may have been a date type day. He seemed to just go with it though even sitting in the back seat in the car/front seat driving as we sat in the backseats staring at things around us. No idea, but he seemed find so I guess that's all that mattered.

The locations we visited are kind of a blur, but one thing that stands out is a ride we took that was pretty much a 4D theater. All of the walls in front and on the sides of us were screens and a portion of the floor was cut away to show another screen below us. We were flying over either a lake or river, so I can assume it was a nature video of some kind, and watching ducks swimming all around us. I remember doing a couple of those 4D theaters before as a kid and the feeling of being "IN" the movie playing was really amazing. I think at one point I even started getting motion sickness...

Anyway, someone remarked how they wondered how this was shot so cleanly because there wasn't a ripple of water under "us" while the ducks all around would make them with the slightest touch. I think we settled on some kind of helicopter after minutes of "could it be this?", "no, what about that?". We finally got our answer as we swooped along this ridge and saw a small helicopter hanging a guy upside down as he filmed what was underneath him. A job I could never do. Never. Dear god don't you dare hang me from anything let alone a helicopter. A helicopter flying over water. With ducks.

It was about here where the dream started shifting. We were at some public speaking event. What was discussed, I don't know. How we got there, I don't know, Why it smelled like mustard, I do not know. I do, however, remember this annoying child in front of me prodding her, my friend, why she was out with me and not him. Mind you, this kid has to be no older than 12 but he had a mouth on him that would rival people double my age. She eventually stood up for me since I refused to respond to him, going as far as making him run off crying. No idea how. I think that scene was cut for the Director's Cut coming out next fall.

I don't know if we changed places again or if this was left over from the first part, but next we were walking along at my former high school. I think it was reunion time and I was bumping into people I hadn't seen in many years. The kid was there and still making a fuss about my friend being there with me instead of him, for some reason.

I wish I knew why or how things changed again, but I wound up walking past some room where there was a big internet broadcast going, I'm assuming, for McDonalds. The room was pretty packed with people, many from ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com for some reason, and I remember a big hoopla about the live broadcast starting soon. As things began my attention shifted and I lost all focus on what was being said. Odd thing is I don't recall at all what I was watching instead of this big internet event. I know at one point someone bumped into the "transmitter" and the connection was instantly lost. (Think about the scene in Jurassic Park where Grant touched the monitor, causing it to flicker heavily) Of course since this was my dream I wound up leaning on the transmitter, causing a bunch of yells and angry glares from all of these people, causing me to leave. Slowly. I think I was trying to go for a comedic "Ha... Oh... Sorry... I'll... just be going... Ha... Kay..." type of exit. But no one laughed...

As I sat away from the cameras and people this older man started talking to me about the event. It turns out he was a major developer for McDonalds' happy meal toys. Hey, shut up. I thought it was cool. :( We kept talking and he took me to this display case he kept next to his desk that housed so many older toys. Many of which I remember from when I was a kid and would love to get again one day. (In particular complete sets of the Changeables. Pic 1. Pic 2.) He even at one point opened the case and let me play with a few of them on his desk, remarking how he's glad to see people still appreciate his work.

And, that was it. Either that's all that happened or that's just what I remembered.
